Function
Provide direct enrollment services support to international student applicants.
Organizational Relationship
Position reports to the Dean of Enrollment Services who reports to the VP of Student Services who reports to the President of the College.
Position Qualifications
Required:
- Associate Degree
- Two years of student services related work experience within the areas of admissions and/or academic advising
- Excellent Customer Service and written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Preferred:
- Prior experience using Ellucian colleague
- Prior experience with international student admissions
- Prior experience working with the Student Exchange Visitor Information System
Essential Functions
- Provide excellent customer service
- Explain elements of the enrollment services process as applicable to international student admissions
- Proactively follow up with inquiries from prospective international students
- Assist international students with the application and enrollment process
- Maintain appropriate student files and records according to guiding policies and procedures
- Assist in preparation of required reports and correspondence
- Assist with maintaining student records within the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS)
- Serve as the Designated School Official (DSO) through SEVIS
- Process international student applications and registration
- Seek professional development as needed to stay current on regulations and guidelines pertaining to international student admissions and reporting
- Assist the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) with SEVIS recertifications
- Maintain and distribute necessary information from SEVIS and the Department of Homeland Security regarding international student admissions.

Reports to the Dean of Enrollment Services who reports to the VP of Student Services who reports to the President of the College
Guidelines
Position is expected to follow all Kaskaskia College policies and procedures, along with
all local, state and federal laws and regulations. Position is also expected to adhere to and promote College core values of compassion, honesty, respect, fairness, and responsibility.
Personal Relationships
Position will have daily interactions with students, College employees, community members, and external agencies.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
High-traffic, office environment with frequent interruptions. Must be willing and able to travel to training sites as necessary. Flexible schedule required, including evening and weekend work as necessary.
